What we collect before launch

StudentBites is not open yet. Right now we only collect what you type into our forms:

• Student waitlist: your email address, and, only if you choose to give them, your first name, school, education level and borough.
• Business form: the business name, category and address, your name, email, and optionally a phone number, website or social account and an offer idea.
• A one-way, scrambled fingerprint of your network address, used only to stop floods of fake sign-ups. We never store the address itself.

Why

To tell you when StudentBites launches near you, to decide which schools and neighborhoods to open first, and, for businesses, to contact you about partnering. If someone shared a referral link with you, we note who referred you so we can thank them.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your information or share it with advertisers.
• We don't use tracking or advertising cookies on these pages.
• We don't show other people who is on the waitlist.

Age

You must be 13 or older to join the waitlist. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has signed up, contact us and we'll delete it.

Who can see it

Only the StudentBites team, through a protected admin area that records who looks at and changes what. Our data is stored with our hosting and database providers, who process it for us.

Removing your information

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time by replying to any email we send you. We keep waitlist information only until we launch in your area and for a reasonable time after, unless you open an account.

Changes

When StudentBites opens, this page will be updated to cover accounts, deals and redemptions before any of that is collected.
